What are your favorite Christmas books?

In honor of St. Nicholas Day, my boys and I are about to snuggle by the fire and read one of our favorite Christmas books:

The Baker’s Dozen: A St. Nicholas Tale

A fair but tight-fisted baker learns an important lesson about generosity.

This new edition includes a recipe and pattern for St. Nicholas cookies. Might be time to upgrade our copy!

I'll be sharing more of our favorite Christmas books in the days ahead. What are your favorites?

  1. MJ, almost all my books are stored in boxes right now, so I can’t always remember the names of the various children’s stories that are contained in some of the anthologies. “A Christmas Memory” by Truman Capote must top the list. There are quite a few by Tasha Tudor, and her “Take Joy” book is chock full of lovely poems and tales. “Snowbound” by Whittier isn’t exactly Christmas, but it sure is wintery, as is The Long Winter by Wilder.
