Last week we finished reading The Swiss Family Robinson
Just before I began reading the final chapter, I asked the boys to guess how they thought it would end.
Forrest (aka Ernest): They’re all killed by savages.
Andrew (aka Fritz): They find a ship and are rescued.
Perry (aka Jack): They’re eaten by wild animals.
Thomas (aka Franz): They’re eaten by sharks.
All of these are fairly reasonable theories, based on events of the first 17 chapters, and most of these elements show up in one way or another in the final chapter.
So, who was right?
Nope. No spoilers here! I urge you to read this delightful book with your own family and find out for yourself!
