In case you’re wondering, I haven’t dropped off the planet! I was in Los Angeles for a business conference, then playing catch-up at home, then a transformer explosion fried my computer’s power supply for a week. Whew!<\/p>\n
During family time in front of the fire and while driving to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving, the boys and I enjoyed listening to the Chronicles of Narnia unabridged recordings to review for the upcoming movie. I read all 7 books aloud to the boys years ago, but Forrest is the only one who was old enough to remember.<\/p>\n
I love to read aloud, but it was such a pleasure to sit back and listen to the compelling English accents of Michael York and Kenneth Branagh. I bought The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and The Magician’s Nephew a couple of years ago, then was delighted to discover this week (where have I been not to learn about this before?) that the entire series of unabridged recordings is now available in a boxed set. This is on our Christmas list for sure!<\/p>\n
So pour some hot chocolate, throw another log on the fire, and gather round for a real treat!<\/p>\n
